It is established in Curaçao, but has also sessions in Aruba and St. Maarten. The Joint Court of Justice of the Netherlands Antilles and Aruba rules in appeal on judgments and orders of the Courts of First Instance of the Netherlands Antilles and Aruba. Courts of First Instance rule initially in civil and criminal proceedings. Therefore, they have regularly sessions on Aruba, Curaçao en St. Maarten and from time to time also on Bonaire, St. Eustatius and Saba.
