The Council of Ministers for the Kingdom has agreed, on the proposal of State Secretary Ank Bijleveld Schouten (Kingdom Relations, CDA), to appoint six new judges. These judges are mr. I.K. van Acker, mr. M.T. Boerlage, mr. J.P. de Haan, mr. M. Keppels, mr. D. Thierry and mr. F.J.P. Veenhof.

“Without debt reconstruction, Curaçao will experience a true doom-scenario with serious social-democratic consequences”, the Chamber of Commerce (Kamer van Koophandel) states in a press release, reverting to the referendum coming Friday. The press release contains an advice to the Board of Governors from the Chamber as an advisory body of the local business, trade and industry.
